The Invention Studio is student-run design-build-play space open to all Georgia Tech students. It is staffed by the University Lab Instructors, student volunteers who are always on hand to train you and help with your projects. Use of the studio is free, and all majors and years are welcome.
MRDC Branch - 10 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday
Montgomery Knight Branch - Noon to 5pm Monday to Friday
We are closed when the campus is closed. We are also closed from dead week of the current semester to the second week of the following semester.
Tours of the Studio are available during our open hours or after hours by special arrangement. A weekly after hours tour is available Mondays at 6 pm. If you are not a member of the Georgia Tech community, some documentation with be required prior to your tour.
You are welcome to be trained at anytime when the studio is open. Walk in and ask any ULI for training on the various tooling. ULIs can be identified by the yellow armband shown below.
