We're always looking for new friends in and out of the GT community. We know that volunteering as a Prototyping Instructor is not always an option for some of our biggest fans, but there are plenty of ways to get involved in the Invention Studio at Georgia Tech! Check them out below!
Attention: Please do not request to join our organization on Georgia Tech's Engage website. We will add you once you become a PI.

Build Something
The easiest way to get involved with us is to show up during our open hours! Regardless of your major or hands-on experience, we'd love to see you!
Attend a Workshop
Looking to improve your skills in one area in particular? Our workshops are a great way to get introduced to tools by completing a new project. You can sign up for workshops by visiting our 'Events' page or checking our Instagram profile.
Involve Your Class
We support a lot of courses at Georgia Tech because of our dedication to interdisciplinary collaboration and our passion for education. If you want to make a class project involving the Invention Studio, we'd love to hear about it.
Become a PI
If you want to get hands-on experience helping your peers make their designs into a reality, think about becoming a PI. We volunteer 3 hours a week in exchange for 24/7 access to our space. Learn more!
Off-Campus Community
Sponsor Us
The Invention Studio is partially funded by the Capstone Design Program, which relies on our generous sponsors for resources and input. Reach out if you're interested in championing hands-on engineering education.
Collaborate with Us
If you have a cool idea for an event that helps the world at large, we'd love to hear it. We've previously collaborated with organizations like CEISMC and E-Nable to positively impact both local and global communities.
Hire Us
Recruiters love to snap up Invention Studio Alumni for their companies because we represent a group of passionate, innovative, handy students with a balance of technical and interpersonal skills. If you're in the market for interns, co-ops, or full time hires, reach out to us for a list of our Prototyping Instructor rock stars.
Other Spaces in ATL
Unfortunately, if you're not a member of the GT community, you can't use our space or equipment. If you're looking for a place that you can work in, there are several Atlanta makerspaces that are open to the public that we'd highly recommend!
